Performance Fees and Considerations
Performance Fees: Unlike a “profit-based organization”, we do not have any set fee schedule for booking our band, and – frankly – we do occasionally provide free performances for selected philanthropic organizations or other suitable worthy causes. However performance fees are an unavoidable issue and a frequently asked question. Our general response is that “yes”, we have significant expenses like any organization and “yes”, we welcome an appropriate donation. Accordingly, we leave it up to you – the “client / booking agent” – to determine and propose a donation that you feel suitably reflects your perception of the value that our performance contributes to the success of your event. All performance opportunities, and appropriate donation levels, are reviewed and determined on a case-by-case basis. Please note that since we rehearse every Wednesday evening, gigs scheduled for Wednesday evenings minimize the likelihood of schedule conflicts and also result in a lower appropriate donation levels. Conversely, gigs scheduled for other times – particularly Friday nights and weekends – significantly increases the potential for conflicts, thus necessitating a higher donation level.
