To My Friend Tony;
Never again will I see Those warm and smiling eyes. Death came calling so quickly, Leaving no time for goodbyes.
No more laughter, no more jokes, No more of our rehearsal talks. Death came calling for you my friend, And through the gates you walked.
So many words left unsaid; so many charts unplayed. Death came calling unexpectedfly, and my friend had to go away.
You always said “life goes on”, and somehow I will try. Death came calling taking you, and now my heart does cry.
You often asked me “do you wanna step outside?”, but I never said “OK, let’s go”! Now you’ve gone and taken that step, and God’s peace you’ll find, this I know.
I will keep your memory and music alive, and keep your spirit by my side. For there will come a time we’ll meet again, and play “Tuxedo Junction” in the sky.
